Thomas is an award-winning resilience and risk professional with over 18 years’ experience delivering resilience, crisis management, and risk programmes across financial services, government, technology, and critical infrastructure.
He has held senior roles including Head of Business Continuity at Atos, leading enterprise-wide resilience across UK and Indian operations, achieving ISO 22301 certification and supporting major government and financial services clients. His earlier career spans organisations such as Tesco Bank, Skyscanner, Network Rail, HSBC, and Manchester City Council.
More recently, Thomas has supported central government, Tier One financial institutions, a central bank, an asset manager, a global fintech, and a FTSE 250 house builder, as well as national UK rail programmes and multi-agency resilience partnerships. His work focuses on governance, impact tolerances, and ensuring frameworks are practical and usable in real-world disruption.
He specialises in UK and European legal & regulatory requirements, including FCA, PRA, CCA and DORA, and supports senior leadership in strengthening accountability and decision-making under pressure.
Thomas co-authored the UK Rail Resilience Review and contributed to UK rail emergency management codes of practice. He is an ISO 22301 Lead Auditor and BCI-approved instructor.
