About the Course
From geopolitical uncertainty, climate change and extreme weather events through to industrial accidents and terrorism it would seem from the headlines that the world is in a constant state of crisis. At such times an organisation’s resilience is of obvious importance.
The course sets out the six steps as a practical way to achieve effective resilience and how these steps interact to form a Resilient Model. A clear understanding of an organisation’s purpose, structure and levels of management forms the basis on which the model is built. The course explores the fundamentals of crisis management which are the pillars on which the overall resilience process is underpinned. By defining mitigating procedures and plans it becomes clear how best to counter risks. Each of the six steps is explored in depth to clarify why they should never standalone but form an integral part of the overall model this is a reflection of the well-known catchphrase, ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’.
