Business Continuity Workshop
Summary:
A one day course from NORMIT that offers a simple approach with practical solutions to ensure that small and medium scale businesses can help themselves to survive if affected by an emergency.
The Course Covers:
• What is a Business Continuity Plan? • How to identify, prioritise and evaluate risks to business. • What risk management strategies can be implemented • What facilities are needed to continue business through a crisis • Looks at the Business Continuity Institutes (BCI) ten standards. • Looks at the guidance both from the British Standards Institute BS25999 and that contained within the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

The venues: The course is held at the Emergency Planning Unit at County Hall in Norwich. This is accessible from the A47 Norwich Southern by-pass, or a 5 minute taxi ride from Norwich Railway Station which is a 2 hour journey from London Liverpool Street.
Dates: 9 June 2009, 10 December 2009. Depending on delegate numbers tailored training, based on the course content, can be provided to individual organisations.

Price and booking information: £400 - This includes refreshments and course material. The course content is approved by Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and delegates receive one years free affiliate membership of the BCI. Members of the EPS and BCI are entitled to a 10% discount.
