The BCI Good Practice Guidelines Training Modules - in three days:

London: 18-20 October 2010

Cotswolds: 13-15 December 2010

The Three Day Course:

The BCI has allowed us to compress their five day course into three days. Those taking this should be prepared to work intensively between 09:00 and 17:00 for three days and do work in the evenings, too.

It is especially good for experience practitioners and for those who are academically bright and able to learn quickly.

For the less experienced, we give enough information on the course to enable them to continue further study in their own time before taking the exam in days or weeks afterwards.

If you have time and the budget, we recommend the five-day course, but for those who don't this is ideal.

Summary:

Continuity Shop was one of the first providers to be licensed to deliver this course and so has developed a mature understanding of the delivery of the materials, which only experience can yield. Continuity Shop provides additional materials and mock questions to supplement this course, which have significantly increased our average exam scores. Since the introduction of these materials, the number of delegates who achieve a 'Pass with merit' grade has almost doubled. These additional materials and mock exam questions are only available to delegates who undertake the course with Continuity Shop.

The modules are designed both to provide a thorough revision of BC best practice, and also to prepare delegates to sit the BCI Certificate exam.

The Course Will Benefit:

Those who wish to take the BCI's exam in order to become Members, as well as all who need revision in Business Continuity Management. Delegates should have a grounding in BCM and its terminology before taking the course. We recommend that at least six months experience is gained before embarking on the course. If it is imperative that you must take the course without being grounded in BCM, we will offer you some free preparatory training in advance, free of charge. Please enquire.

Taking The Examination

Because almost five days of training is compressed into three days, we do not normally offer the exam at the end. You may book this directly with the BCI and take the exam at a later date at one of hundreds of designated examination centres, in most major cities in the world. We are happy to advise. However, if your only option is to take the exam at the end, we can arrange.
